Industrial CNC/Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the position

ResourceTek is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician with expertise in Electrical and CNC troubleshooting to support a leading heavy industrial manufacturing client in Houston, TX. The role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on CNC machinery and preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on large industrial equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and replace CNC electronic boards and related hardware.
• Read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Assist in the replacement of ball screws, gears, clutches, and spindle bearings as part of the Preventative Maintenance Team.
• Follow all maintenance safety practices, including Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in industrial maintenance, with a focus on electrical and CNC systems.
• At least 2 years of experience working on CNC lathes, preferably Mori Seiki, Okuma, and/or Mazak lathes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
• Basic electrician skills, including correct wiring practices and replacement of electrical components.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Fanuc Servo drives and Servo motors.
• Knowledge of CNC machine ladder diagrams.
