About the position

The Industrial Electrician position at FutureFuel Chemical involves skilled electrical installation tasks under the direction of a supervisor. The role focuses on the installation, alteration, and removal of electrical wiring and controls associated with various electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform highly-skilled electrical installation work including sizing and selecting wiring, pulling or laying cable assembly, and installation of piping systems.
  • Determine efficient methods to facilitate work, reduce costs, and minimize downtime, providing recommendations to supervision.
  • Operate power tools and use hand tools as needed for electrical and piping tasks.
  • Plan and perform fabrication, assembly, installation, alteration, and repair of various piping systems.
  • Lay out work using measurement devices to facilitate piping jobs.
  • Perform pipefitting work for all pressure classes, including threaded, welded, and lined piping.
  • Draw isometric (ISO) drawings of piping systems for fabrication by others.
  • Work from Piping and Instrumentation (P&I) drawings and sketches to fabricate and install piping.
  • Follow proper rigging and hoisting practices as required.
  • Attend training sessions on new piping systems or techniques and train others in the crew.
  • Clean up job site at the end of each job or shift, returning tools and materials to proper locations and disposing of scrap properly.
  • Direct the work of other personnel as required.
  • Operate man-lifts and skyjacks, and drive company vehicles to/from job sites, maintaining a valid Arkansas Drivers' license.
  • Plan and schedule work with Maintenance Coordinators.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervision.
  • Communicate effectively to perform essential job functions.
  • Complete required safety training and comply with safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Experience in electrical installation and maintenance in an industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring, controls, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&I and ISO drawings.
  • Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools.
  • Valid Arkansas Drivers' license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with piping systems and pipefitting work.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or training role.
