About the position

The Industrial Controls & Systems Integration Engineer at Cybertrol Engineering is responsible for developing and implementing automation solutions for manufacturing customers. This role emphasizes collaboration with a team of engineers to deliver high-quality PLC/HMI code and comprehensive projects that meet customer requirements. The position requires direct engagement with customers to understand their needs and maintain communication throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of zero-defect code and providing technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PLC/HMI code, including simulation and process commissioning at customer sites.
• Create clear and well-structured Functional Specifications and required PLC/HMI programs.
• Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and create a Functional Specification of the deliverable.
• Maintain customer contact throughout the project lifecycle and post-commissioning.
• Develop PLC/HMI code in a team environment using a modern software framework.
• Ensure quality processes are followed to deliver zero-defect code during site installation.
• Work independently to deliver solutions in the area of subject matter expertise.
• Provide technical leadership, including system-level thinking and problem-solving techniques.
• Lead the commissioning of projects while working with multiple disciplines and trades.

Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Chemical) or related engineering field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industrial automation.
• Associate Degree in Engineering Technology (Electrical, Computer, IT, or Electro-Mechanical) or a related engineering technology field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industrial automation.
• Technical leadership capability to guide and coach team members on complex projects.
• Proficient in programming and delivering projects in a team environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Curiosity and agility in problem-solving when faced with new challenges.
