About the position

The Industrial Controls & Systems Integration Engineer at Cybertrol Engineering is responsible for developing and implementing PLC/HMI code, including simulation and process commissioning at customer sites. This role emphasizes collaboration with a team of engineers to deliver high-quality automation solutions tailored to customer needs, while also providing technical leadership and maintaining customer relationships throughout project lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement PLC/HMI code, including simulation and process commissioning at customer sites.
• Create clear and well-structured Functional Specifications and the required PLC/HMI programs.
• Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and create a comprehensive Functional Specification.
• Maintain customer contact throughout the project lifecycle and post-commissioning.
• Ensure quality processes are followed to deliver zero-defect code during site installation.
• Work independently to deliver solutions in areas of subject matter expertise.
• Provide technical leadership and problem-solving techniques as required.
• Lead the commissioning of projects while collaborating with multiple disciplines and trades.

Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Chemical) or related engineering field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industrial automation.
• Associate Degree in Engineering Technology (Electrical, Computer, IT, or Electro-Mechanical) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industrial automation.
• Technical leadership capability to guide and coach team members on complex projects.
• Proficient in programming and delivering projects in a team environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Curiosity and agility in problem-solving when faced with new challenges.
• Focus and tenacity to see challenges through to completion.
