About the position

The Industrial Decarbonization Research Analyst at Energetics will focus on delivering data-related research for industrial energy and emissions analysis, primarily supporting the Department of Energy (DOE). This role involves analyzing and reporting on technologies and strategies aimed at decarbonizing industrial sectors such as metals, cement, chemicals, refining, and electronics manufacturing. The analyst will contribute to foundational analysis and reporting while gaining insights into cutting-edge technologies and trends in the manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis product delivery through task management, analysis and R&D planning, impact assessment, reporting, inter-team and external relations.
• Apply project management principles to coordinate and manage broad analysis projects.
• Provide expert insights and advisement on market opportunities and R&D technology research, synthesizing technical information for various audiences.
• Engage in R&D data collection and management related to energy efficiency and decarbonization.
• Prepare and present technology and programmatic reports, presentations, and briefings.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree with 6+ years of analysis project management experience.
• Proficient in database development and programming languages (Python, C#, C++, etc.).
• Experience in energy/emissions forecasting and knowledge of industrial energy systems, processes, policies, and regulations.
• Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills with professionalism and ethical conduct.
• Experience in government consulting or supporting government organizations is a plus.
