About the position

The Industrial Defender Engineer position is a remote contract role focused on implementing and managing the Industrial Defender platform to secure and maintain the integrity of industrial control systems. The engineer will be responsible for monitoring system performance, which includes tracking application and process failures, as well as changes to the registry and files. This role requires conducting on-demand vulnerability management and automated asset configuration collection to ensure that the systems are secure and compliant with industry standards. In addition to monitoring and managing the systems, the engineer will oversee necessary patching and upgrades, collaborating with vendors and their support teams as needed. Analyzing security events and providing actionable intelligence is crucial for informing business decisions and enhancing situational awareness. The engineer will also work closely with IT teams to support endpoint monitoring and manage cybersecurity alerts effectively. The role involves participating in the planning and execution of system upgrades and architectural design, as well as supporting the implementation of Industrial Defender hardware and software solutions. This position is vital for maintaining the security posture of the organization and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage the Industrial Defender platform to secure and maintain the integrity of industrial control systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Certification in Industrial Defender system management.
  • 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, specializing in threat monitoring and management.
  • Experience in the Utility industry, with a deep understanding of industry-specific security challenges and standards.
  • Proficiency with Tanium and Splunk for cybersecurity operations.
