The Analyst position is an entry-level role within the Industrial Development team at CSX, designed to support the team's strategic initiatives, project and revenue growth goals, and enhancement of processes. The Analyst will play a crucial role in managing projects assigned by leadership, which are aimed at achieving business objectives. This position not only enhances the team's effectiveness and productivity but also serves as a developmental opportunity for the Analyst, allowing for skill and knowledge growth that can lead to potential advancement within the team and the broader organization. In this role, the Analyst will provide support for various processes and initiatives related to industrial development, including identifying revenue growth opportunities and coordinating efforts across internal and external organizations to support strategic goals. The Analyst will also be responsible for managing Salesforce reporting and other projects as directed by leadership. A key aspect of the position involves supporting industrial development initiatives related to shortlines and assisting with outreach efforts to these entities. The Analyst will be expected to develop a network of key stakeholders to ensure buy-in for Industrial Development initiatives and will attend industry-related conferences and market-specific seminars to stay informed about market trends. The role requires articulating and educating potential customers on the advantages of rail as a supply chain solution, thereby contributing to lead generation and business recruitment efforts. The Analyst must establish a reputation as an excellent communicator and team player, providing timely updates on project developments to all stakeholders, including operations, sales & marketing, engineering, and finance. Additionally, the Analyst will maintain updates on project developments in Salesforce CRM and undertake miscellaneous activities as assigned by the manager.
