The engineer will be responsible for implementing best practices in electrical maintenance and reliability, ensuring efficient troubleshooting, and leading electrical maintenance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support mill through established electrical maintenance, reliability, and engineering best practices.
• Build electrical maintenance strategies and execution plans to improve electrical reliability and competitive position.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting and electrical repair to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime.
• Lead electrical maintenance resources and initiatives, being accountable for performance of electrical systems and assets.
• Perform research, design, and development of electrical maintenance processes, including production flow and assembly methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Previous experience with 480V and 2300V equipment, including power delivery equipment (transformers, switchboards, panel boards, motor starters, and drives).
• Experience in determining plant loading and conducting load studies.
• Ability to work with consulting engineers and local electricity providers.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and NFPA-70E, Electrical Safety in the Workplace.
• Experience with electrical distribution system inspections and outages.
