About the position

The Industrial Electrical Engineer at Sunrise Engineering plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's engineering and consulting services. This full-time position involves collaborating with a dynamic team to create innovative solutions for various community engineering projects, including municipal improvements and industrial applications. The engineer will manage projects, provide technical support, and assist in client management, all while ensuring timely and budget-compliant project completion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare original drawings and revisions of electrical engineering projects using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering software.
• Professionally manage projects to ensure that expectations are met and that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Assist other engineers and inspectors in the field gathering project information.
• Provide technical support to other engineers and junior staff as needed.
• Assist in client management and business development.
• Attend staff meetings as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Demonstrated a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in electrical design experience.
• Demonstrated a minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial applications, preferably in mining.
• Proven strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and clients.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with designing high-voltage distribution systems, substations and electrical system modeling using ETAP/SKM Power Tools for Windows.
• Current MSHA certification.
