Johns Manville is seeking an Industrial Electrician for our Willows, CA facility, which specializes in producing quality fiberglass building insulation for residential and commercial applications. Responsibilities

  • Work any shift, including rotating, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Complete all work orders as assigned.
  • Participate in the safety process and practice safe work habits at all times.
  • Maintain equipment and systems for maximum productivity levels.
  • Identify equipment issues and report to supervisors.
  • Assist with the preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Assemble and install electrical circuits, systems, instrumentation, and equipment.
  • Inspect electrical equipment and machinery, diagnose faults, and document repairs.
  • Read and interpret electrical prints for installations.
  • Start, stop, maintain, and help install and repair generating and power distribution equipment.
  • Dismantle and assemble electrical motors and allied equipment; repair, clean, and replace parts.
  • Install and repair electrical conduit and cable, including connections and controls.
  • Operate with professionalism and teamwork orientation.
  • Complete work orders, requisitions, inspection reports, and maintain proper records.

Requirements

  • Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
  • At least a high school level of math, language, and reasoning skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years of verified experience as an electrician.
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution systems and switchgear, including Underwriter codes and national codes.
  • Current knowledge of electrical controls, motors, AC/DC Drives, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial lighting equipment.
  • Ability to configure, commission, troubleshoot, and start up AC/DC Drives, HMIs, and PLCs.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and handle multiple priorities and projects.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence legibly.
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment such as scissor lifts and boom lifts.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, climb stairs, reach, and stoop frequently.
  • Ability to manually lift at least 50 pounds safely.
  • Ability to work at heights and execute fine and gross motor hand movements.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment with a broad range of temperatures.
