About the position

The Industrial Electrician Technician role at Aerotek involves executing maintenance activities to ensure safety and quality in a food production facility. The technician will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining automated production equipment, while adhering to various regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressors, motors, and pumps.
• Troubleshoot, repair, or replace electrical control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc.
• Troubleshoot, repair, or replace hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical power components.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment using PLCs and other automated control systems. Utilize RS Logix and read ladder logic.
• Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments as well as preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.
• Work closely with production and refrigeration personnel to effectively resolve and eliminate plant and process problems.

Requirements

• PLC troubleshooting and programming
• Electrical troubleshooting (24V, 480V)
• Knowledge of ladder logic
• Experience with photo eyes, sensors, inputs/outputs, Pro Logic 5000, servo drives, and servo motors
• Experience with VFD
• Ability to use multimeter, ohm meter, and/or megger
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with CMMS
