About the position

The Industrial Engine Field Technician - Petroleum position at Cleveland Brothers involves providing service and repair for industrial engines, particularly in the petroleum industry. The role requires diagnosing and repairing diesel and gas engines, utilizing the latest tools and diagnostic equipment. Technicians will work both in the field and in the shop, depending on the availability of work, and must be prepared for after-hours and weekend assignments to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose and repair compression gas and diesel engines.
• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain diesel, gas, and marine engines.
• Perform work on generators and component parts in various environmental and working conditions.
• Safely assemble and disassemble equipment and component parts according to the manufacturer's specifications.
• Repair and maintain temperature control and air compression equipment.
• Accurately complete service reports and provide the details to complete work orders.
• Meet the Department of Transportation physical examination and licensing requirements as mandated by law.
• Work overtime as required.
• Maintain tool requirements.

Requirements

• Appropriate training and relevant work experience on industrial engines.
• Ability to diagnose and repair diesel and gas engines.
• Experience with generators and component parts.
• Knowledge of temperature control and air compression equipment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with marine engines.
• Familiarity with the petroleum industry.
