As an Industrial Engineer at Magna Seating, you will play a crucial role in the development and manufacturing of high-quality seating systems for the automotive, heavy truck, and bus industries. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing processes through direct accountability for fixtures, equipment evaluation, hand tools, and time studies necessary for the production of assemblies and end products. You will provide engineering assistance in the design and manufacture of fixtures, machines, and tools, focusing on ergonomics, mistake-proofing, workload management, and the ease of assembly of components or end products. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HS+E) coordinator to ensure that all equipment and fixtures comply with ergonomic and safety standards. You will also assist in preparing Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) reports and facilitate compliance with all OSHA regulations related to the plant. Your role will involve following up on issue resolution and conducting audits to recommend necessary modifications, improvements, or changes to maintain compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
