About the position

The Industrial Engineer/Business Analysis Manager at JBS USA will serve as a crucial link between corporate teams and plant operations, focusing on the implementation of cost-saving projects across the company's Value Added facilities. This role is essential for optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting financial planning and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the initiation phase of new production lines to assist in design for cost effective manufacturing, layout, labor, and efficiencies.
  • Prepare detailed layouts of plant facilities to optimize utilization and product flow.
  • Perform motion studies to support operations on crewing needs and to establish standards.
  • Measure variances to standards, identify out of control variances, investigate root causes and suggest solutions.
  • Investigate and install the most effective methods of manufacturing to keep the company at a competitive edge.
  • Drive the use of processes throughout the business, lead process map training, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Assist in financial planning and cost analysis, including labor reporting and payback analysis.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and insightful information and analytics to the business utilizing Business Intelligence solutions.
  • Generate routine reporting of business operational performance in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Collaborate with JBS IT while designing new reporting solutions, automating current reporting solutions, or troubleshooting report issues.
  • Resolve labor issues relative to RE/Workload management with the legal department and UFCW.
  • Educate plant personnel on work measurements and assist corporate with labor initiatives.
  • Update and maintain EASE standards and video server.
  • Frequent communication with senior team members concerning the status of labor efficiency and projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or similar engineering field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or a similar field.
  • Experience working in a production facility, preferably within a food manufacturing company.
  • Strong organization, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to initiate conversations with cross-functional team members.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiar with MS applications, advanced in Excel.
  • Able to travel 30% to multiple Value Added facilities.
