About the position

This position is for an Industrial Engineer at Lockheed Martin's Chelmsford Operations facility, focusing on supporting various product lines. The role involves developing production operation time standards, tracking cost and schedule performance, conducting efficiency calculations, and engaging in process improvement activities. The engineer will collaborate closely with product management and program support teams to enhance production processes in an RF and microelectronics environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development of production operation time standards.
• Track cost and schedule performance at the part level.
• Establish efficiency calculations and conduct capacity/manpower assessments.
• Perform trend analysis and capital equipment justifications.
• Design production layouts and process flows.
• Implement cost and span reduction initiatives.
• Engage in other process improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field and 2 years of related professional experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of Production / Industrial Engineering concepts.
• Tools and skills for driving continuous improvement projects.
• Experience with process simulation modeling.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering.
• Experience with SAP ERP system.
• Experience with simulation modeling, specifically Simio.
• Understanding of Capacity Planning, Man-loading / Balancing, Estimating / Line Flow.
• Strong communication skills.
• Manufacturing layout development.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
