About the position

The Industrial Engineer position at Lockheed Martin's Chelmsford Operations facility involves supporting production lines by developing operation time standards, tracking performance, and implementing process improvements in a microelectronics environment. Responsibilities

• Assist with the development of production operation time standards.
• Track cost and schedule performance at the part level.
• Establish efficiency calculations and capacity/manpower assessments.
• Conduct trend analysis and capital equipment justifications.
• Develop production layouts and process flows.
• Implement cost and span reduction initiatives.
• Engage in other process improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field and 2 years of related professional experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of Production / Industrial Engineering concepts.
• Tools and skills for driving continuous improvement projects.
• Experience with process simulation modeling.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering.
• Experience with SAP ERP system.
• Experience with simulation modeling, specifically Simio.
• Understanding of Capacity Planning, Man-loading / Balancing, Estimating / Line Flow.
• Strong communication skills.
• Manufacturing layout development.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
