In this role, you will work closely with operations to analyze and improve business and manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities will include studying process and product requirements through observation and time studies, defining solutions, and assisting in their deployment. You will conduct capacity analysis to determine the necessary capital equipment and labor staffing to meet customer demand, calculate resource utilization, and identify throughput constraints. Additionally, you will perform machine analysis to manage improvement initiatives aimed at increasing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Overall Labor Effectiveness (OLE). You will also be responsible for identifying and leading continuous improvement projects, assisting with production scheduling, and designing or redesigning layouts of equipment and workspace to enhance process flow. Participation in and leading Kaizen events will be a key part of your role, allowing you to contribute to our mission of operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and improve business and manufacturing processes in collaboration with operations.
  • Conduct capacity analysis to determine capital equipment and labor staffing requirements to meet customer demand.
  • Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
  • Perform machine analysis to manage improvement initiatives aimed at increasing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Conduct labor analysis to manage improvement initiatives aimed at increasing Overall Labor Effectiveness (OLE).
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects.
  • Assist with production scheduling, including incorporating product design changes.
  • Design/redesign layouts of equipment and workspace to improve process flow.
  • Participate in and lead Kaizen events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical degree with two or more years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, or a Master's degree with one or more years of experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering or an MBA.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Experience with various computer software and administrative abilities.
  • Data mining and manipulation experience with Excel, VBA, SQL, and other methods.
