About the position

This position is for an Industrial Engineer Early Career supporting one or more of the product lines in Chelmsford. The role will be responsible for assisting with the development of production operation time standards, tracking cost and schedule performance at the part level, establishment of efficiency calculations, capacity/manpower assessments, trend analysis, capital equipment justifications, production layouts and process flows, cost reduction initiatives, and other process improvement activities. The role will work closely with the Product Manager, Product Lead, and other Program Support Teams to refine and improve production in an RF and microelectronics environment. The successful candidate will engage in various tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of production operations. This includes analyzing production processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance productivity and reduce costs. The position requires a strong understanding of industrial engineering principles and the ability to apply continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma. Additionally, the role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that production goals are met and that the operations align with the company's strategic objectives. The candidate will also be expected to participate in the development of new processes and technologies that support the company's mission and enhance its competitive edge in the market.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Production/Industrial Engineering concepts.
  • Coursework or project-related experience using continuous improvement tools and methods (such as Lean Six Sigma).
  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prefer Industrial Engineering degree but open to other STEM and related disciplines.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with SAP ERP system.
  • Experience with simulation modeling (Simio).
  • Understanding of Capacity Planning, Man-loading/Balancing, Estimating/Line Flow.
  • Internship experience in a manufacturing environment.
