About the position

The Industrial Engineer at Insitu will support the production team by developing, implementing, and evaluating processes aimed at optimizing operational efficiency. This role involves applying industrial engineering concepts to enhance manufacturing processes, improve product design, and ensure project completion within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead the application of Industrial Engineering concepts, techniques, analysis, and decision tools to promote and implement changes in manufacturing.
• Develop models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data and provide summary analysis and metrics for consultation to customers.
• Apply industrial engineering techniques to product design teams to ensure robust product design and work statements that meet program requirements.
• Research, design, develop, improve, and implement processes to enhance schedule performance, lower costs, and improve quality using Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts.
• Manage, define, negotiate, and control the scope, cost, and timing of projects, ensuring completion within budget and on schedule.
• Complete planning activities such as time studies, production facility layout design, capital expenditure evaluation, and production metric development.
• Utilize engineering methods to develop optimal process designs and efficient utilization of resources in manufacturing and testing of products.
• Analyze and design the value stream, including capability, capacity, throughput, workflow, and logistics.

Requirements

• 9+ years of Engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree in Science; or 7+ years of Engineering with a Master's degree.
• Previous experience as an Industrial Engineer in a production environment, preferably in unmanned aircraft.
• Experience in a lead capacity is a strong plus.
• Ability to work onsite 50-75% in Bingen, WA.
