About the position

At Raytheon, we are committed to helping our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. Our Industrial Engineers play a crucial role in this mission by applying advanced problem-solving techniques and lean principles to optimize our manufacturing systems. This position involves engaging in all phases of the factory life cycle, from proposals and capacity planning to factory layout and project management. Industrial Engineers are tasked with maximizing throughput, increasing efficiency, and delivering value to our operations. In this role, you will analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement. You will calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints, applying Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate these constraints and enhance efficiency. Your responsibilities will include creating process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to visually represent manufacturing processes and key metrics. Additionally, you will participate in factory safety and ergonomic improvements, contributing to strategic roadmaps focused on factory expansion and the integration of new capabilities. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will partner with project managers and other functions to execute projects that modify the factory footprint, change equipment layouts, and add new capabilities. You will also support competitive bids, factory proposals, and business case development for future investments. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.
