About the position

At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling - to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today's mission and stay ahead of tomorrow's threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Industrial Engineers apply advanced problem-solving techniques and lean principles to develop and optimize the Manufacturing system in order to maximize throughput, increase efficiency, and value. Industrial Engineers are involved in all phases of the factory life cycle, including proposals, Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Factory Layout, Cell/Line balancing, Simulation and Process Modeling, Labor Performance Analysis, Pareto Analysis, Process Mapping, and Project Management. In this role, you will analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement. You will calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints while applying Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals. You will create process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key metrics. Additionally, you will participate in factory safety and ergonomic improvements, contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory expansion, and partner with project managers to execute projects that modify the factory footprint and add new capabilities.
