About the position

The Industrial Engineer I position at American Express focuses on supporting capability, technology, and configuration initiatives within the Global Partner & Operational Support group. This role emphasizes process innovation, project management, and collaboration with internal and third-party teams to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will leverage analytical skills to drive improvements and ensure adherence to management requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Drive process innovation and transformation to improve customer experience, regulatory adherence, and expenses.
  • Develop recommendations for automation and process improvement solutions.
  • Document, analyze, and design process flows, identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Design key metrics and tracking tools for improved project performance and analysis.
  • Provide PMO and Project Management support for initiatives from conception to stabilization.
  • Use data and journey analysis to influence stakeholders on customer and agent experience improvements that will drive results.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners to deliver project support and tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent degree/experience is required.
  • Adept at problem solving and quantitative analysis using superior analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, continuous process improvement, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; Confluence is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with business leadership and peers in a clear, effective, and consistent manner.
  • Enthusiastic and creative individual committed to delivering results within aligned timeframes.
  • Ability to manage projects and initiatives to completion.
  • Strong ability to collaborate across a variety of groups with diverse interests.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and meet aggressive deadlines.
