About the position

Raytheon is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to support the Effectors portfolio of factories in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on maximizing throughput, improving efficiency, and delivering value to customers through various engineering methodologies. The position involves modeling factory operations, conducting performance analyses, and implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance factory performance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Model factory operations by generating process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings.
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and meet cost, quality, and delivery goals.
• Draft infrastructure improvement proposals and plan the integration of new products and technologies.
• Work with cross-functional teams to execute projects that improve factory performance.
• Support new production contract proposals and new product integration efforts.
• Enhance factory safety and work cell ergonomics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree in a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance.
