About the position

The Industrial Engineer Intern position at RTX Corporation is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline. This internship will provide hands-on experience in operations within the Material Distribution Center, focusing on improving process flow and efficiency in the Wire Center of Excellence. Interns will work closely with production teams, utilizing analytical skills to troubleshoot equipment and enhance productivity, while also gaining exposure to various levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Utilize analytical thinking skills for equipment troubleshooting and productivity improvements
• Work directly with production assembly areas requiring effective communication skills to understand issues and provide input on improvements
• Evaluate effectiveness of current processes and identify improvements
• Review automated process equipment for efficiency improvements
• Utilize data analytics to make data-driven decisions
• Create and manage maintenance work orders to implement improvements and reduce outsourcing

Requirements

• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status)
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline
