About the position

The Industrial Engineer Intern position at Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc. is designed for rising seniors pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or related fields. This internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment focused on production optimization, quality control, and data analysis. Interns will work closely with local management and have the opportunity to continue part-time during the school year if mutually agreed upon.

Responsibilities

• Perform time-motion studies
• Optimize production line and work cell balance for product refurbishment
• Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures
• Provide support in quality control, quality assurance inspection and testing efforts
• Prepare/automate reports and dashboards using tools such as Microsoft Excel and PowerBI
• Conduct data analysis
• Deliver written and oral presentations to corporate management

Requirements

• Completed three years of an ABET-accredited bachelor's degree program in Industrial Engineering or a related field
• Relevant coursework and/or work experience in engineering
