About the position

Anduril Industries is seeking an Industrial Engineer Intern for the Summer of 2025. This internship is an opportunity to work within a defense technology company that is dedicated to transforming military capabilities through advanced technology. The intern will be part of the Manufacturing team, which is responsible for the rapid iteration and production of cutting-edge defense hardware, including static equipment, moving ground equipment, and flight vehicles. The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will engage in various aspects of the manufacturing value chain, including Design for Manufacturability, tool design and selection, process creation and optimization, vendor sourcing, quality planning, and documentation related to the hardware they oversee. The ideal candidate will demonstrate holistic ownership in solving technical challenges with creative, physical solutions, ideally having experience in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment. The intern will own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain for specific products, develop novel tooling solutions for fabrication and assembly, and create process flows that break down complex assemblies into manageable subassemblies and processes. Additionally, the intern will be responsible for writing necessary documentation for manufacturing hardware at scale, collaborating with contract manufacturers, and working hands-on with technicians and engineers to build prototype hardware. This role also involves contributing to the mechanical or electrical design of end-customer hardware, including interconnects and board fabrication. The intern may need to travel to suppliers for initial sourcing, to resolve ongoing production issues, and to implement quality procedures. This position is designed for a rising senior in a technical field who is eager to learn and grow within the manufacturing sector.
