About the position

The Summer 2025 Internship in Production Operations at Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control Orlando facility offers an opportunity for candidates pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering to engage in hands-on experience. Interns will support production operations by applying industrial engineering principles to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This role emphasizes teamwork and effective communication skills in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform Industrial Engineering related tasks in support of Production Operations.
• Apply lean manufacturing techniques to reduce costs and increase yields.
• Support continuous improvement activities within the production environment.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project goals.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering.
• Ability to obtain facility access.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with basic Industrial Engineering principles.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Access, Word, and Excel).
• Knowledge of facilities layouts, time studies, simulation, and teaming.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of 'Lean' manufacturing concepts and techniques.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software and simulation.
