The Industrial Engineer for Labor Management Systems at Walgreens is responsible for maintaining and implementing Engineered Labor Standards for the assigned distribution center. This role involves managing an Analyst who supports the program, ensuring that all labor standards in the Labor Management System (LMS) are developed and maintained effectively. The position requires the individual to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are up to date and that any process changes are reflected in both the labor standards and the LMS. The Industrial Engineer will be accountable for reporting, training, and tracking gain share within the Distribution Center, working closely with DC leadership on program performance and budget planning. In addition to these responsibilities, the Industrial Engineer will assist in rolling out the LMS project by providing comprehensive labor standard services for the assigned Distribution Center Operations. This includes partnering with Corporate and Distribution Center leadership to develop and meet strategic goals while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires the championing of LMS across all levels within the Distribution Center and collaboration with Industrial Engineers in other DCs to foster improvements. The position also involves continual monitoring and analysis of existing processes to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure a positive return on investment. The Industrial Engineer will manage a team responsible for ensuring data accuracy and supporting DC and HR staff with LMS-related issues, questions, and training. The role may require travel to support the rollout of the LMS in the home DC and other DCs within the network, with travel expectations of up to 20% of the time. The Industrial Engineer will work in alignment with other DC Industrial Engineers and leadership on LMS system changes, gain share programs, and financial tracking in collaboration with the Finance team. Furthermore, the role includes partnering with Distribution Center management and the LEAN team to identify, implement, and support process improvement projects focused on cost reduction, safety, and quality improvements.
