As an Industrial Engineer, you will play a crucial role in establishing the physical layout of machinery and optimizing the sequence of operations and workflow. Your expertise will contribute to cost control, productivity improvement, and the overall efficiency of our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for documenting manufacturing standard work and routings, as well as planning the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to maximize equipment utilization. Your work will directly impact the success of our operations and the quality of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a subject matter expert establishing the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow.
  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
  • Provides measurable input into the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work and routings.
  • Contributes to the planning of the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment.
  • Responsible for handling information regarding OEE, OLE, MSW, Staffing/Capacity Planning and other SPS metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated success in program management, engineering, and communications.
  • Project management experience and driving change management.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice-to-haves

  • BS in Industrial Engineering
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience
  • Strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis
  • Experience with continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting and the use of data management or acquisition software.
  • A working knowledge of Statistical Process Control, Value Stream Mapping, Standard operating procedures, Root-Cause Analysis and Set-Up Reduction/Mistake-Proofing.
