About the position

Entegris is currently seeking an Industrial Engineer-Planner to join our Manufacturing team. The hired individual will play a key role in managing the development of Industrial Engineering methods in the areas of planning, factory layout and capacity planning at our membrane production site. They will also be responsible for maintaining planning processes, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending process improvements and/or capital requests, driving efficiency improvements across the factory. Collaborating closely with process engineering and production, the Industrial Engineer-Planner will lead the creation and validation of capacity models for every equipment type. They will also lead the maintenance of master data in our ERP system (SAP) and all other Microsoft Excel based capacity models.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update master data in the ERP system, Microsoft Excel, and capacity models to support production.
  • Perform production planning and supporting activities.
  • Improve the planning process and collaborate with global supply chain, quality, planners, and buyers in sister plants.
  • Lead manufacturing cycle time reduction projects for assigned production areas.
  • Implement and support projects to enhance operational efficiency and achieve corporate objectives such as on-time delivery, productivity, and scrap reduction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify problems, analyze information, and develop and implement process solutions.
  • Conduct time studies on critical (bottleneck) processes and build capacity models for assigned areas.
  • Support long range capacity planning activities.
  • Create Value Stream Maps to enhance material, process, and communication flows.
  • Support the implementation of lean manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, standard work, problem-solving, value stream mapping, training, and employee involvement.
  • Work with data to determine optimum inventory levels.
  • Support and manage KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for operations.
  • Work with the CI team to identify and participate in Kaizen events.

Requirements

  • Minimally a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related technical discipline; master's degree a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly communicate ideas to all levels within the organization.
  • Proficiency in time and motion studies; capacity modelling strongly preferred.
  • Ability to apply data and other complicated methods, valuations, and technicians to make complex decisions and judgement calls.
  • Experience in implementing Lean systems at the plant level (e.g. 6S, Kaizen events, line balancing, Kanban systems, and Value Stream Mapping).
  • Experience with ERP system (SAP) is a plus.
  • Ability to lead teams and implement projects through continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean or Six Sigma (DMAIC) with hands-on application.
