About the position

The Industrial Engineer in Supply Chain at Lowe's is responsible for optimizing distribution center (DC) performance by enhancing productivity, accuracy, capacity, and efficiency. This role involves project management, business analysis, facility layout, product flow, and change management, while also serving as a leader within the organization to build trust and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and execute complex improvement projects to drive operational excellence across the SC Distribution Network.
• Manage designated work streams to meet customer and business needs by translating business plans into tactical action items and overseeing individual work assignments.
• Conduct data collection and analysis for various process improvement efforts to understand business trends and make informed recommendations.
• Engage with the DC management team to guide and influence strategic actions based on engineering perspectives.
• Support facility layout design and ergonomic studies to enhance productivity and safety.
• Support larger scale projects and process improvements including Six Sigma Lean, Kaizen events, and rapid improvement events.
• Support the development and execution of Labor Management Standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, Power Point, and Access; experience in time and motion studies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in a Distribution Center environment and with a warehouse management system preferred.
