About the position

The primary objective of this position is to drive cost improvements in distribution operations through enhanced methods, systems, capital investments, and processes in the physical distribution of products. The role involves providing industrial and process engineering support to domestic Logistics Centers and Configuration & Integration Operations, focusing on engineering support for budgets, layout, design, space planning, material handling, and safety and ergonomic engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct work/method studies and develop appropriate reporting and recommendations, including time studies.
  • Develop, document, and implement improved work methods, processes, and procedures.
  • Develop, document, and implement engineered productivity and work standards.
  • Perform capacity and utilization analysis and planning for Logistics Centers.
  • Conduct ergonomic and safety engineering studies for all processes and activities.
  • Assess facility and workstation layout, design, equipment selection, space utilization, and planning.
  • Develop cost/benefit analysis and detailed justification for projects and programs.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects with management, customers, and other departments to improve quality and productivity.
  • Identify and quantify potential supply chain improvements, recommendations, and implementations.
  • Apply LEAN methodologies to identify, support, and lead process variation, continuous improvement, and waste reduction projects.
  • Support the development of new process documentation and facilitate change control of existing Logistics processes.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement activities, including training and reporting.
  • Perform UAT (test-script creation and testing) for SAP driven processes as needed.
  • Act as the primary owner for the development of new process documentation and facilitate change control of existing Logistics processes, updating as required.
  • Participate and drive ISO compliance within assigned Logistic Center(s).
  • Meet attendance and punctuality standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in a logistics/supply chain engineering role, with five (5) years preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Basic Lean, Six Sigma knowledge or other process improvement certification.
