About the position

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join our growing Aerospace Manufacturing Company. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating existing systems and processes to identify both value-added and non-value-added activities. Your expertise will be crucial in solving design challenges and streamlining processes using principles of mathematics, science, and engineering. As an Industrial Engineer, you will identify opportunities to prevent waste and inefficiency in production. This will involve researching and testing design ideas to determine their feasibility, utilizing methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis to support innovation, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities. You will also be tasked with developing and designing robust manufacturing concepts that simplify and improve manufacturing processes, ensuring best practices are followed. This includes performing structural and thermal analyses of components and assemblies, building prototypes, evaluating performance, identifying issues, and making necessary improvements. Additionally, you will create and maintain essential manufacturing process documentation, which includes process flow charts, capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis, and line balancing. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key to gaining insights and direction for your projects. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of related engineering experience.
  • In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Hands-on experience building small prototypes.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time study, and process balancing.
