About the position

The Industrial Engineer at Syncreon America Inc. is responsible for designing, running, testing, and upgrading engineering systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency. This role involves leading continuous improvement initiatives, assessing ergonomic factors, implementing lean engineering tools, and supporting new business launches. The position requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to optimize work systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support to Continuous Improvement initiatives at the plant level.
  • Conduct work studies to analyze work systems and develop standards and improvements.
  • Utilize simulation software to analyze and improve work systems.
  • Assess ergonomic factors in work systems and provide design solutions to minimize repetitive motion injuries.
  • Develop and implement lean engineering tools and review work methods and workstation designs.
  • Conduct analysis and make recommendations to improve labor utilization, material flow, and capacity planning.
  • Utilize and analyze Lean Standards in everyday assignments including Line Balancing and Value Stream Maps.
  • Provide input for the development of Process FMEA's and Control Plans.
  • Research, justify, and recommend the purchase of capital expenditures.
  • Support STD Work, 5s, TPM, JIT, and Mistake Proofing initiatives.
  • Update layouts using Auto CAD LT and maintain Bill of Materials.
  • Assist in new business launches at both customer and syncreon plant.
  • Work scheduled shifts with predictable and reliable attendance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline required; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience performing Industrial Engineering techniques and time studies.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and technical procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong computer skills including design, drawing, and Microsoft Office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Auto CAD LT.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
