About the position

The Industrial Engineer position at the Department of Defense involves participating in the study, design, and planning of integrated systems for a DLA Distribution Site. Responsibilities

  • Participate in the study, design, and planning of integrated systems of people, materials, and equipment.
  • Serve as a technical consultant to Distribution Site Leadership on industrial engineering aspects.
  • Provide advisory services to maintain a safe, orderly, and clean work environment.
  • Implement best industry practices to improve processes and ensure smooth workflows.
  • Leverage methods to integrate quality into improvements and work processes.
  • Train supervisors and managers on documenting work methods and establishing expectations.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in professional engineering from an accredited program.
  • One year of specialized experience related to industrial engineering principles and practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Professional registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination.
