About the position

The Industrial Engineer position focuses on identifying and implementing process improvements and cost reductions within a manufacturing environment. The role requires strong collaboration with production supervisors and team leads to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met. The engineer will develop and improve manufacturing processes and analyze operational data to enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own the process for a continuous line in manufacturing.
• Develop and improve new manufacturing processes, including PFD, SIPOC, VSM, and Work Instructions.
• Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and operational data to determine efficient production methods.
• Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities.
• Troubleshoot daily manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate with production supervisors and team leads to achieve process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Seven or more years of relevant experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies and principles.
• Demonstrated project management experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawing requirements and specifications.
• Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Manufacturing/assembly automation experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
