About the position

The Industrial Engineer will focus on driving process improvement activities to enhance key business metrics such as safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee development. This role involves developing expertise in various engineering methods, Lean tools, and quality standards, while coaching employees in Continuous Improvement (CI), Quality Assurance, and Lean principles. The engineer will apply methodologies and tools to optimize distribution and transportation operations, ensuring effective performance measures and strategies are in place.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, support and encourage Ace Values: Winning, Excellence, Love, Integrity, Gratitude, Humility and Teamwork.
  • Develop advanced competency in a wide range of engineering methods, Lean tools, and quality standards.
  • Coach employees in the use and implementation of Continuous Improvement, Quality Assurance, & Lean principles.
  • Apply company methodologies and tools, including product slotting, labor standards studies, layouts, and optimization of flow.
  • Provide regular reports of data and actions to measure progress against site objectives.
  • Make inventory and/or supply chain strategy recommendations.
  • Work on complex problems of diverse scope with data analysis requiring evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Establish and implement performance measures.
  • Work with site leadership to conduct assessments of critical site and business needs.
  • Develop a thorough and effective continuous improvement plan to address top business needs at Ace sites.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Industrial Engineering or related degree required.
  • 1-2 years' experience in Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Warehousing or related field.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and collaborative skills, including team building.
  • Experience with profiling, quality programs, and related systems and diagnostics.
  • Expertise in measurement, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of analytical and programming tools such as R (or equivalent), Visual Basic, etc.
