About the position

The Industrial Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency within a growing 3PL company located in Savannah, Georgia. This full-time, direct hire position requires a dedicated professional who will be responsible for analyzing workflows across various branches to identify areas for improvement. The successful candidate will apply statistical analysis and design efficient systems to implement cost-effective solutions that enhance productivity and quality. In this role, the Industrial Engineer will design, develop, and implement systems and processes aimed at streamlining operations. This includes analyzing workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout to make informed changes that improve overall productivity, quality, and safety. The engineer will also be tasked with developing performance metrics and measurement systems to monitor operational performance, ensuring that any identified areas for improvement are addressed effectively. Collaboration is key in this position, as the Industrial Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including warehouse, transportation, and supply chain management, to integrate logistics with company processes. Utilizing Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies, the engineer will drive process improvements and conduct capacity planning to optimize production. Additionally, the role involves preparing process documentation and standard operating procedures, implementing cost reduction measures, and overseeing the installation of machinery and equipment while ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational guidelines. The engineer will also assess the effectiveness of changes made and refine systems based on feedback analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze workflows within and across all branches to improve efficiency.
  • Design, develop, and implement systems and processes to streamline operations and increase efficiency and productivity.

  • Assess the effectiveness of changes and refine systems based on feedback analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial Engineering preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Industrial Engineering role.
  • Experience in a 3PL environment is required.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to interact with all levels of the organization.
