About the position

Actalent is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support manufacturing operations near Chattanooga, TN. This role involves creating standard work procedures, balancing production lines, managing change requests, and ensuring ergonomic standards are met. The engineer will also engage in data analytics and traditional industrial engineering responsibilities to optimize efficiency and reduce waste in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Create standard work procedures and ensure they are implemented effectively.
• Balance production lines to optimize efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
• Use internal systems to verify tasks that need follow-up.
• Manage change requests and implement change management processes.
• Utilize various technologies to review data analytics.
• Perform time studies to identify areas of waste in the manufacturing process.
• Ensure ergonomic standards are maintained in the workplace.
• Communicate changes of standard work to production and training departments.
• Conduct process flow analysis and data analysis to identify areas for improvement.
• Utilize Lean Production Systems, Lean 6 Sigma, and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with time studies, line balancing, and other industrial engineering skills.
• Strong technology knowledge.
