Schneider Electric is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as an Industrial Manufacturing Engineer responsible for deploying Lean methods and concepts, leading 6-sigma project development, conducting time-motion studies, and optimizing process layouts across manufacturing processes within our high-speed automated assembly areas, molding fabrication group, and progressive metal stamping group. This role is crucial in enhancing production efficiency and quality while ensuring safety standards are met. The successful candidate will implement Schneider Production Standards to establish, maintain, and enhance production equipment and processes, focusing on reducing downtime and improving overall productivity. In this position, you will be responsible for deploying Lean methodologies to improve safety, quality, and productivity. This may include techniques such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), identifying and eliminating 8-Wastes, calculating Takt Time, implementing Jidoka and PokaYoke systems, conducting Kaizen events, and applying Motion and Time Movements (MTM) principles. You will also utilize the Line Architecture Design Methodology (LADM) and Material Providing & Handling (MPH) strategies to streamline operations. Additionally, you will conduct time-motion studies and develop standardized work instructions to support Standard Time coordination. Leading projects by applying 6-Sigma principles will be a key responsibility, where you will conduct process flow analysis, improve process time, create cycle time definitions, enhance first-pass yield, reduce process variation, and improve process stability. You will also determine manufacturing process layout optimization and monitor efficiency indicators such as Key Efficiency (KE), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Net Equipment Effectiveness (NEE), and Improvement Efficiency (IE) to take necessary actions to enhance line efficiency and capacity. Furthermore, you will provide manufacturing engineering support for technologies that facilitate Smart Factory (Industry 4.0) deployment and coordinate Bill of Materials (BOM) and routings for the product lines.
