As an Industrial Engineer at Safran Aerosystems Evacuation, you will play a crucial role in enhancing production processes and ensuring the quality of our aircraft evacuation systems. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with process and method improvements, providing mechanical and technical support to senior engineers, and applying mechanical engineering principles to support the research, design, evaluation, installation, and operation of safety slides and rafts for large aircraft. You will work closely with the manufacturing engineering team to develop labor standards, assist in facility and workstation layout, and contribute to the research and development of capital projects within the manufacturing department. In this position, you will also be involved in the preparation and maintenance of work instructions, product estimates for manufacturing operations, and engineering design duties. This includes reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics, as well as assisting drafters in developing the structural design of new products using CAD tools. You will troubleshoot production issues, assist in the implementation of new products from engineering to production, and conduct tests to analyze the feasibility and performance of designs. Your role will require collaboration with senior engineers to assess new designs and processing methods, ensuring that all tooling, instructions, and processes are developed to successfully build the product. Additionally, you will participate in testing various design models and contribute to the resolution of system malfunctions, providing technical reports on failure analysis as needed.
