About the position

The Industrial Engineer position is focused on supporting and optimizing assembly processes within the company, particularly during internal product launches. The role requires a skilled individual with a strong background in assembly process engineering and a commitment to continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will work closely with various teams to enhance efficiency and quality on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize assembly line processes, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Work closely with the quality and production teams, spending 95% of the time on the shop floor.
• Support product launches, including limited travel for truck launches and pre-builds.
• Create and maintain detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with corporate teams and customers, often across different regions.
• Drive continuous improvement (CI) and cost-saving initiatives, presenting solutions to management.
• Conduct time studies and implement rebalancing efforts to optimize production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree highly preferred (Industrial Engineering background is a plus).
• Minimum of 2+ years of IE background.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with diverse teams and departments.
• Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives and solve recurring production issues.
