About the position

As an Industrial Engineer at DB Schenker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing warehouse management processes through the application of engineering techniques and management principles. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the development and direct implementation of methods and procedures that support service and cost management. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to contribute to productivity improvements and efficiency maximization within the organization. In this role, you will develop productivity systems to monitor resource utilization, measure current productivity and efficiency, and analyze existing methods and procedures. You will be tasked with recommending operating procedures that enhance performance and assist in the development of cost-effective methods that maximize productivity. Your leadership skills will be essential as you communicate, train, and hold accountable both internal and external customers, as well as vendors, to ensure the highest level of customer service while maintaining sound business practices and effective cost management. Additionally, you will review and recommend equipment provisions, prepare cost justifications, and plan layouts for new facilities and equipment. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you design and prepare statistical reports that measure processes, productivity, and efficiency. You will be expected to conform to company business standards and practices and may also conduct special projects as requested. This position requires a proactive approach and the ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop productivity systems to monitor the utilization of resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or strongly preferred.
  • Generally prefer 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Solid interpersonal and analytical skills required.
