The Industrial Engineer position at the Department of Defense involves collaborating with engineering and program office personnel to support various Navy programs. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering and program office personnel to support Navy programs.
  • Develop, document, and present life cycle cost estimates.
  • Apply mathematical modeling techniques such as regression analysis.
  • Evaluate cost estimates prepared by others.
  • Perform extensive data analytics on cost, technical/engineering, economic, and programmatic data.
  • Convert quantitative and qualitative data into defendable cost estimates.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Ability to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance.
  • Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area is required within established timeframes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in cost estimating and data analytics.
  • Familiarity with Navy programs and operations.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques.
