About the position

The Industrial Engineer position at Northrop Grumman involves supporting the Propulsion Systems Division in Magna, Utah. The role focuses on driving business performance through the development of lean processes and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with various teams to eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and enhance production metrics, while also serving as a trusted advisor to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Observe, understand and model the Least Waste Way
• Positively impact the business by working with other engineering and non-engineering disciplines to eliminate waste and improve processes
• Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
• Work collaboratively across disciplines to develop solutions with an emphasis on timeliness and execution
• Design and implement processes to improve efficiency and flow throughout the factory and back office
• Facilitate continuous improvement events to develop, define and improve processes in PS' Nozzle Value Stream
• Create, publish and analyze production performance metrics
• Conduct special studies and projects
• Create staffing models based on work content
• Facilities and workplace design

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university (strong preference for Industrial Engineer)
• For Level 02: 2-5 years of industrial engineering experience
