About the position

The Industrial Engineer position at Global Power Components involves hands-on support for day-to-day production issues and participation in continuous improvement projects related to engineered to order (ETO) products. The role focuses on creating standard operating procedures, improving safety and production rates, and serving as a technical resource for production teams.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day production issues and continuous improvement projects.
• Create standard operating procedures (SOP) for current production processes.
• Implement safety, ergonomic, and production rate improvements.
• Develop, audit, and improve department quality and production goals.
• Serve as a technical point of contact for supervisors and production operators.
• Engage in fixture design, capital equipment assessment, and project scoping.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or a related field of study.
• Ability to become familiar with manufacturing processes.
• Desire to become a subject matter expert.
• Interest in working in a hands-on, fast-paced production floor environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
