About the position

The engineering support role at Future Electronics Corp. encompasses a variety of disciplines including labor management, warehouse management, automation, PLC, supply chain solutions, productivity improvements, cost savings, and ergonomic improvement. The successful candidate will be an active participant on the leadership team, tasked with devising and implementing innovative solutions aimed at enhancing both customer and employee experiences. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and formulating actionable plans to address them. Key responsibilities include the development of Warehouse Management System (WMS) improvements and automation augmentations, which are critical for optimizing storage and throughput capacity. The role also involves managing improvement projects from conception through to completion, ensuring that each project delivers a return on investment (ROI) and is completed on time. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for developing labor standards and measurement systems, as well as conducting time and motion studies to assess and enhance operational efficiency. This position is integral to the overall success of the organization, as it directly impacts the efficiency of operations and the quality of service provided to customers. The engineer will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure that all initiatives align with the company's strategic goals and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, Industrial preferred
  • 2-3 years working in a Distribution environment
  • Facility planning Design and layout experience
  • Experience with CAD software - Autocad preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
