About the position

As an Industrial Engineer at PALFINGER, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our manufacturing processes and ensuring the efficiency of our operations. This position is based in a plant environment located at 341 NW 122, Oklahoma City, OK, and reports directly to the Regional Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering Manager. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating various aspects of industrial engineering, such as fixture design, project planning, and process development. You will provide guidance and engineering support to the Continuous Improvement and Quality department, assisting in the development of processing plans, routing structures, work center structures, methods, materials handling, manpower requirements, time studies, and cost analysis. In this role, you will oversee the development and maintenance of both long- and short-term processing plans, ensuring that projects are completed in a cost-effective, safe, and timely manner while meeting or exceeding expectations. You will also prepare and review project proposals, studies, and technical reports, applying a sound basic knowledge of safety, environmental, and energy-related issues during project execution. Additionally, you will represent the department within the company and act as a liaison to external vendors and contractors, supporting cross-plant initiatives and performing all other duties as assigned. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate various aspects of industrial engineering including fixture design, project planning, and process development.
  • Provide guidance and engineering support to the Continuous Improvement and Quality department.
  • Assist in the development of processing plans, routing structures, work center structures, methods, materials handling, manpower requirements, time studies, and cost analysis.

  • Oversee the cost-effective, safe, and timely completion of projects that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Apply knowledge of safety, environmental, and energy-related issues during project execution.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Four (4) years of experience in a related field.
  • Lean Manufacturing background and knowledge.
  • Strong computer skills: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems: SAP.
  • General CAD knowledge: Pro-E, Solidworks, AutoCAD, and Creo.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external colleagues.
  • Flexibility to change and openness to constructive feedback.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
