About the position

A very prominent manufacturing organization is actively seeking an Industrial Engineer to add to their growing facility. This candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of duties relative to industrial/lean engineering in an effort to improve deliverables that will lead to improved efficiencies and cost savings. The role involves coordinating, maintaining, and recommending improvements in plant layouts and material flow, ensuring that the manufacturing processes are optimized for productivity and cost-effectiveness. The Industrial Engineer will maintain the plant layout and engineer special programs and projects related to cost reductions. This includes implementing work cells and productivity improvements, assisting in the planning, estimating, and introduction of new manufacturing processes, products, and operations. The engineer will also maintain work standards for manufacturing operations, analyze material handling methods, and facilitate improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, the role requires creating and assisting with the implementation of standard work, maintaining plant capacity and utilization information, and designing and modifying packaging to meet customer requirements while ensuring the protection of products during transit and managing the cost of packaging materials.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 1-5+ years experience in the industrial engineering field preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean Production techniques, time studies, and standards development preferred
  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives within inventory
  • Willingness to travel (minimal)
