About the position

The Industrial Engineer at Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is responsible for developing Standard Work Instructions and identifying areas for Continuous Improvement within manufacturing areas. This role focuses on enhancing Safety, Ergonomics, Quality, Productivity, and Cost through Lean and Problem-Solving Methodologies. The engineer will lead cross-functional teams, support corrective actions, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements while actively participating in the Focus Factory team to achieve operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Standard Work Instructions for manufacturing processes.
  • Identify areas for Continuous Improvement in Safety, Ergonomics, Quality, Productivity, and Cost.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional teams for corrective actions in various operational areas.
  • Utilize data to support testing and process changes.
  • Actively participate in Focus Factory team activities related to Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
  • Become a subject matter expert for assigned areas.
  • Assist in day-to-day manufacturing activities using ELSS principles.
  • Support VSM teams in ensuring A3 actions meet business case needs and timelines.
  • Review current and new processes for employee safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Assess performance indicators and take actions to meet schedule, cost, and quality goals.
  • Create and update Plant Layout as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Geographic flexibility to relocate within the United States for the Development Program.
  • Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
